- ENOC’s Retail business recognised for the first retail system for fuel and non-fuel implementing MSD
28 February 2018; Dubai, United Arab Emirates – ENOC Group was honoured by Microsoft, with the Microsoft Dynamics (MSD) Digital Transformation Award at a special ceremony that recognised the UAE’s most innovative organisations in the field of digital transformation.
The Microsoft Dynamics Digital Transformation Awards held during Microsoft’s Digital Transformation Awareness Month, recognised those playing a leading role in driving successful digitisation initiatives that lead to better engagement of customers, empowered employees, optimised operations and reinvented products and services.
ENOC Group, won the oil and gas category for its innovative design and MSD implementation of a complete retail system for both fuel and non-fuel products. The first fuel system implementing the unique functionalities of MSD was carried out without requiring a separate oil and gas specific module. To align the non-fuel functionalities with MSD AX with ENOC’s retail fuel requirements, every nozzle, fuel tank and fuel station were configured separately.
Judges assessed the achievements of several digital trend-setters that had used Microsoft solutions such as Dynamics 365, the Azure cloud, Office 365 and Power BI to propel their organisations to startling new performance heights. Under strong consideration was the extent to which each candidate had reinvented their business models through digitisation and how they had positively impacted their industry.
The nomination process was conducted through a Microsoft survey, which allowed customers the opportunity to describe an innovative project implemented using Microsoft technology solutions. Each project was scored on key performance indicators such as customer satisfaction, loyalty, employee productivity, operational efficiency and product or service transformation.
