ZOOM, UAE’s home-grown convenience store, introduced its drive-through service, adding to the convenience of customers in Dubai for contactless purchase of groceries and everyday essentials.
The first drive through service will pilot at ENOC’s service station located at Al Aweer, with plans to introduce the concept in select stations in the UAE in the coming months.
The new drive through service will enable customers to shop from ZOOM at ENOC service stations and collect their order from the comfort and safety of their cars. Customers can drive up to the digital screen, where they can speak to ZOOM staff via live video and place their order which is displayed on the right side of the screen. Customers can use contactless payment options, including ENOCPay and drive to the next window to pick up their order.
Once the order is placed, customers can either drive up to the window to pick up their order or wait in the designated parking space where a ZOOM staff-member will deliver the order to their vehicle.
His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO, ENOC Group, said: “The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the retail sector and we believe it is imperative to innovate our services to adapt to this changing landscape, add to the overall customer experience and maintain the safety and wellbeing of our customers and employees. We have geared our efforts towards introducing services and novel ideas that offer convenient, safe and contactless services to our customers and will continue to utilise the power of digitisation to enhance our retail offering.”
According to a report from Bluedot and SeeLevel HX based on a July survey of 1,501 U.S. consumers, COVID-19 had a considerable impact on customers’ increased use of drive-thru services by 43% since April of this year, with nearly three out of four consumers visit the drive-thru as often or more often than before.
ZOOM has been introducing safer and innovative ways to serve customers and deliver the best contactless customer experience following the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, ZOOM partnered with Talabat and NowNow to facilitate contactless home delivery across the UAE. Additionally, ENOC Group also continues to urge customers to use ENOCPay, its cashless and cardless payment platform accepted across all its retail service stations in the UAE in line with the government’s efforts to maintain social distancing and minimise physical contact.
Launched in 2009, ZOOM has become part of the everyday life of the UAE residents, offering access to a wide range of products on the go. ZOOM has a variety of formats from service station C-stores to mini marts and stores on the Metro network as well as large scale standalone supermarkets in several residential communities and high-end locations, such as Burj Khalifa.
