Dubai, UAE; July 2, 2017: ENOC Group recently opened a new service station at Dubai Barsha South. The opening supports ENOC's commitment to its expansion plans aimed at building 54 service stations by 2020.
The new 40,000 square feet station offers ENOC's customers several services which will ease their refuelling experience. The entrance and exit to the station are designed based as per the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) guidelines for safe manoeuvring of vehicles and to reduce traffic congestion within the station.
The forecourt is equipped with six dispensers with the latest technology and a fuel system designed to cater maximum flow rate as per National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) safety standards. To factor in the waiting time inside the service station, dispensers are built with retractable hoses to enable refuelling cars from both sides to reduce waiting period.
Commenting on this occasion, His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC, said: "The opening of the new service station falls within our long-term strategy towards the UAE to fulfil its energy needs. Our vision as a National Oil Company is aligned with the Dubai Plan 2021 to create a 'Smart & Sustainable City' for happy, creative & empowered people. With this opening, we hope to expand our retail network to cater to our customers' needs."
Among other sustainable initiatives is the implementation of UL certified double wall tanks and double wall fuel piping with secondary containment to safeguard against any environmental contamination. The fuel system is fully automated with auto tank gauging and electronic leak detection system. The entire station is built according to the Green-Build specifications as per Dubai Municipality's regulations.
The station is also equipped with the Vapor Recovery Systems (VRS) to prevent and control emissions to the atmosphere, full LED lights installed at the site to reduce energy consumption by 50 per cent and a VRF technology for the air conditioning (AC) system, which saves 35 per cent compared to conventional package AC system.
The growing Barsha South community also stands to benefit from other retail facilities at the station including the ZOOM convenience store, Pronto, Autopro, Paavo's Pizza, Chicken and a drive-thru McDonalds, Kashta Arabic restaurant, Aster pharmacy and an ATM, offering ENOC's customers a variety of conveniences.
Customers also benefit from a variety of payment methods such as ENOC's cashless and credit card-less ViP system and BEAM.
ENOC's Barsha South station is located on Umm Suqeium Street after crossing over Al Khail Road, coming from Sheikh Zayed Road and heading towards Mohammed bin Zayed Road.
