ENOC Vessel Vetting System was first established in early 2004 when the first revision of Technical Guideline, GEHS/GL/023 â€œStandard ENOC Group Standard EHS requirements for Marine Tanker Vesselsâ€ was published and its requirements implemented in ENOC operated Jebel Ali (Oil) Terminal.
Since, it was revised twice and the latest Revision 2 approved by ENOC Group Chief Executive in June 2007 is now used as reference to assess compliance of nominated vessels for cargo operations at ENOC operated Tanker Berths in Jebel Ali(Oil) as well for other terminals under the management of Horizon Terminals Ltd.(HTL) , a subsidiary of ENOC.
To further enhance ENOC commitment to quality, safety and pollution prevention in international shipping ,ENOC has applied and it was accepted as OCIMF member on the 13th June 2007.
Soon after ENOC has become an OCIMF member, it has pledged its resources to contribute in work of OCIMF Committees and Forums.
ENOC is also submitting and receiving member of SIRE programme with SIRE accredited inspectors conducting inspections for international tanker management companies.
